Lockout - Series of convenient events

First of all i’m going to write a short review of the latest film I have went to see at the cinema. Unfortunately the film wasn’t my first choice or as it ended up, a good film. I wanted to experience my first IMAX film at Sheffield Cineworld to know what the fuss is about with Avengers Assemble.

So, Lockout…

Not a bad viewing, but I certainly wouldn’t recommend this film to anyone unless you are content with a mindless violence action movie which has dipped its toes in the loan market of many previous films.

Countless TV adverts and marketing before I went to see the film softened this blow as after all, rarely is a film pushed so much of a good standard. As the story progressed with extremely convenient links which became a little unbearable as major points were seemed to be ignored or focused on depending on what would allow the story to flow in the mind of the director.

It threatened to have some potential with a cartoon style high speed chase, but this approach was quickly dropped making it look out of place in the movie.

Having not said anything in favour of watching the film it was still okay enough to watch. It would be advised to view this in the same way Snow views himself by not taking anything too seriously and with a bit of basic humour.
